It&#8217;s divided into three areas: downtown, Zicatela, and La Punta. You can read more about the differences between these areas below. If you don&#8217;t have a rental car during your trip, you can choose to rent a scooter, take a taxi, or use the collectivos. Scooters are available for rent everywhere, and you&#8217;ll also encounter taxis and tuk-tuks everywhere. The collectivos are small vans that you can hail anywhere. They travel from north to south and back again. There&#8217;s enough to keep you entertained for at least five days with a variety of activities, but a few more days are definitely recommended. Tours are unfortunately a bit pricey in Puerto Escondido, but most are incredibly impressive and well worth the money.
