Although it&#8217;s a lake, the water here is even clearer and bluer than at most beach destinations. What&#8217;s even more impressive is that Laguna Bacalar boasts seven different shades of blue thanks to its varying depths. This means that sailing, stand-up paddleboarding, and kayaking are not permitted. Swimming from the shore is permitted.
